Our Racial Heritage:
Introduction to Tacitus On Germany

18 September 1998

Dear Friends and Allies:

Some time ago, I realized that after more than 2 decades of public education, I knew more about the history of other races than I knew of the history of my own DNA.

Since then, I have been searching for the history of my race in the oldest books I can find and buy.

It is my belief that the history of our race has been obscured and edited by persons who want to manipulate White Gentiles. I also believe this process has accelerated in the last 80 years.

Much (or most) of the ancient and contemporary history of our race has been written by those who envied and/or feared us. As a result, there are now generations of White Gentiles who have absorbed the Anti-White teachings and consider acts of White Gentile suicidal self-loathing to be normal and praiseworthy. Our beautiful racial instincts and traditions have been usurped and perverted into acts of racial suicide. Our racial weaknesses have been exploited by those who are amused by our downfall.

Tacitus provides some gleams of illumination into who our Teutonic ancestors were. There are so many passages that I was delighted to find and marked for my own future reference. I hope you will read the work to the end and note what is resonant for you.

On a university site, I read that Tacitus viewed the Germans as the Noble Savages. I disagree. In my opinion, Tacitus was a Hostile Historian. He describes Germans allied with Romans killing other Germans thusly:

In it there fell above sixty thousand souls, without a blow struck by the Romans; but, what is a circumstance still more glorious, fell to furnish them (the Roman observers) with a spectacle of joy and recreation. May the Gods continue and perpetuate amongst these nations, if not any love for us, yet by all means this their animosity and hate towards each other: since whilst the destiny of the Empire thus urges it, fortune cannot more signally befriend us, than in sowing strife amongst our foes. (Paragraph 34 on this site.)

Nonetheless, I am delighted to have an account of the ancient Teutons, especially one that describes the many tribes of the Teutons.

I wish that someone had given this and similar works to me when I was young and said the following:

"Here, Beloved One, is a glimpse of the heritage of your DNA. Look for the behaviors of yourself and your kin here. Note what is strength and what is weakness, what feels to be truth and what feels to be falsehood. Know yourself in the context of your bloodlines."

Perhaps you will share this work with a friend or a young one and say something similar. I hope so.

Now to the text.

All Best to You and Yours,

Elena Haskins
