Dear Friends and Allies:
In the floor-to-ceiling bookcases behind my desk, books from Scott-Townsend Publishers are gathered together on their own shelf for easy access. Since I invest a lot of time in searching for books that are pertinent to my race and issues that affect my race, it is a time-saving benefit to know of one publisher that has a whole catalogue of relevant books on anthropology, psychology, race, heredity, politics, history and philosophy.
In addition to many books, Scott-Townsend publishes "The Mankind Quarterly", a refereed quarterly journal (samples at http://www.mankind.org/mqartlst.mgi?mgiToken=4TDGMKARST2HDK1DQ) and "The Journal of Social, Political and Economic Studies" ( samples at http://www.mankind.org/ssartlst.mgi?mgiToken=4TDGMKARST2HDK1DQ).
The following are reviews are of books you may be interested in. As time permits, I intend to review more of the Scott-Townsend books on my shelf. The titles to be reviewed are queued at the end of the book reviews.
War and the Breed: The Relation of War to the Downfall of Nations
by David Starr Jordan, Chancellor of Leland Stanford Junior University, Illustrated and Abridged with Foreword by J.W. Jamieson (Cliveden Press imprint).
http://www.mankind.org/booksreturn.mgi?mgiToken=4TDGMKARST2HDK1DQ
The original of this book was published in 1915. The incalculable genetic losses to the White race in WWI had begun when David Starr Jordan wrote War and the Breed. The 500,000 Whites killed became10 million--"the fittest that Europe had to offer, very few of whom left any children...the only victors were those who did not regard the blood of Europe as its greatest treasure." The illustrations that have been added by J.W. Jamieson are of men whose bloodlines stopped with their death. The chapter "War and Women" is a grim reminder that even the genes of the sisters of those who are killed are often lost: "The best of women who survive often fail to find fitting mates and so remain childless." I highly recommend this book. It is a slim volume that can be brought to family/friend gatherings to be shown and discussed.
The Teuton and the Roman
excerpts from The Roman and the Teuton, lectures by Charles Kingsley (c. 1850), edited by R. Pearson
http://www.mankind.org/booksreturn.mgi?mgiToken=7F0DBR613H932221IB
My copy of this book shows the wear of being carried around in my briefcase so that I could pull it out to read while waiting, etc. and it has been copiously highlighted and notated. Kingsley's lectures about the collisions of the Gauls and the Romans and the clashes of very different value systems is fascinating. I was so intrigued I purchased an antiquarian version of The Roman and the Teuton and found that R. Pearson had done a very good job of excerpting the original for the reprint.
Family, Kin and City-State: the Racial Underpinning of Ancient Greece and Rome
by Numa Denis Fustel de Coulanges and J. Jamieson
http://www.mankind.org/booksreturn.mgi?mgiToken=4TDGMKARST2HDK1DQ
When anyone tells me about the ancient Greeks and Romans, I generally ask "When?". As the first note of this book explains, the people who became the Greeks entered the area in waves beginning around 2000 B.C. It took many centuries for the Indo-European or Aryan people who created Greece and Rome to finally fall to multicultural decay. In earlier, stronger times, "Pride of family was considered the highest virtue, closely matched by pride of nation. The very base of ancient Greek and Roman greatness was an intergenerational dedication to family and kin--qualities which they shared with all known Indo-European peoples of their time." This book was my first encounter with the original meaning of daemons, later corrupted to demons. In Greek, human souls deified by death were daemons, or heroes. The Latins called them Lares, Manes, Genii. The importance of the aristocratic gens and the bonds of kinship as the basis of a nation are discussed. An illuminating note (p. 55): "The earliest Christians, who were either Hebrews or converts of assorted origin who were not members of the Greek or Roman aristocratic gentile families, particularly chose to attack the gens as the central organization which needed to be overthrown if a social revolution were to be achieved. Consequently the teachings of the Christian church, attacking pride and praising humility, were well received by members of the masses who had not family history and were considered inferior by the gentiles (gentilitis, from which our 'gentlemen' and gentry) who prided themselves in their ancestry." And in the end, the downfall of what were healthy nations was precipitated by multiculturalism and the demographic problems associated with cheap labor. How about a chorus of "Here We Go Again!"?
The Dispossession of the American Indian--And Other Key Issues in American History by Dwight D. Murphey
http://www.mankind.org/booksreturn.mgi?mgiToken=2BVM14ETV71A3V1K1
This is a book I wish I had to buy as a university textbook. As you may imagine, White children being brainwashed into self-loathing by the anti-White sadists "teaching" in government schools could use information like this book. Topics are treated in a reasonable way that explains how things happened instead of using the politically correct "Evil Whites" version of history. From the Scott-Townsend site: "Contents include the truth about the Relocation of Japanese-Americans during World War II, which the author sees as humane and reasonable in the light of historoical reality; the violence of the Kent State University Riots; the justification of the "Hollywood Blacklist" (of Marxist actors and producers); the facts about the J. Robert Oppenheimer Oppenheimer Spy trial". Also included are the history and analysis of lynching and the "dispossession" of the American Indian.
Germanic Mythology by Jakob Grimm, Translated from the German by Vivian Bird
http://www.mankind.org/booksreturn.mgi?mgiToken=4TDGMKARST2HDK1DQ
According to the book's description from the Scott-Townsend site: "From the German of Jakob Grimm (one of the two famous brothers Grimm). Not elsewhere available in the English language. A fascinating account of the pagan myths and religious beliefs of the Germanic people. Details Germanic gods, heroes, spells, wood and water spirits, nixies and goblins etc." It is refreshing to read of pre-Christian Germanic beliefs, especially "It must be reiterated that among the German heroes Good outweighed Evil, to be courageous surpassed despair. They laughed in the face of death...Our native paganism appears unoppressed by sad ideas of the misery of human existence. It paid homage to untroubled acceptance of fate and believed in a paradise, world renewal, deified heroes." How very refreshing.
