In the last few weeks, I have been very bewildered by some men that I have met. They seem to be ready for flight, and I don't mean the wing-flapping variety. Perhaps if I describe them to you, you can give me some insight into what is going on.
Puzzlement #1:
This man is in his late 50's, has apparently done well in his career, and
is helping with valuable projects such as an initiative so that parents
can have alternatives to the State and Federally funded Brain Laundries
known as schools. He clearly understands that our nation is in peril. He
has been Lord Bountiful with our nation by sponsoring Vietnamese immigrants.
I have expressed my protest and anger. However, the deed is done. Puzzlement
#1 is helping to distribute information on the disastrous effects of the
immigration invasion, which is some small amends for helping to facilitate
the invasion. What concerns me is when we discuss the dire peril we are
in as we lose our national sovereignty chunk by chunk, he tells me he wants
to emigrate to New Zealand. New Zealand??! He says when the U.S. Army starts
shooting at citizens, there will be nothing we can do. He urges me to keep
my passport current so that I can leave my nation. Leave my nation? New
Zealand is a beautiful country, from all accounts. It is not where my heart
is. It is not the land where my fathers died.
Puzzlement #2:
This man is probably in his 50's. He just emigrated from Canada because
of the immigation invasion and the Human Rights Tribunals that terrify the
citizens of Canada into not speaking out as their nation is deconstructed
on an even faster track than the U.S.A. Now Puzzlement #2 is in California,
and told me that he's always felt like he was a citizen of this country--we're
all North Americans. When I protested that this was a ploy used by people
south of the border who ignore our boundaries, he ignored me. When I asked
him who was going to defend the rights of Canadians if the Canadian men
just left the country for some other place, he ignored me again. Instead
he started telling me how "we" had to protect "our"
First Amendment rights. Later a friend and I told him about the assault
on our liberties in this nation. He then announced that he would move to
Europe if the going got rough here. Amazing. He just moved here and he's
ready to leave if he has to do anything to help protect "our"
nation.
Puzzlement #3:
This man is perhaps in his 30's. As I recall, his father (or perhaps his
grandfather) was a Greek sailor who jumped ship when it was docked in the
United States. Somehow the illegal immigrant forebear found a way to not
only stay in the United States, but also to produce American citizen children.
The current citizen is having some trouble with taxes. He told me if things
got rough, he would just go to the Phillipines, where his wife is from.
Puzzlement #3 says he is a Libertarian and he believes in open borders.
He wants government to vie for citizens by offering better deals than the
other nations. I protested that you cannot build a nation by having open
borders with swarms of floaters. Nations are built with kinship groups,
loyalty and common history, traditions and ways of being. As the conversation
progressed to one after another plateau of disagreement, I finally told
him it feels like all the men of the world are wussing out and none of them
will defend their nations. I used the general term "all" to lessen
the sting of my words. The truth is that there are many men who have not
wussed out and who will not wuss out.
So, in brief, there they are. The Three Question Mark Citizens. It seems that for them, a Nation is a sort of expanded hotel and they can leave whenever the room rate changes or the maid service isn't to their liking. Government out of control? Why, just find another place to stay. Government of the citizens, for the citizens? Nonsense, government is a provider of goods and services, the maitre d' who shows you to your table, the hotel management who makes sure the sheets are turned down and the foil wrapped chocolate is on the pillow. Duty, Honor, Country? Now why would a Transient care about such things? C'mon, that's a bunch of complicated nonsense. Maybe we can have giant Barkers at the Borders to advertise the goods and services available in each nation. Special Today Only--Convenient Plundering Here! Stop by Next Week to Loot and Pillage! No Loyalty Needed! Step Right Up! Who cares what happens to the Nation when It's Just a Business Deal?
I say: "Over My Dead Body". They say: "Where Can I Run To?".
What's wrong with this picture?
"They sow not, yet they reap."
I guess the Question Mark Citizens have been around for a very long time.
